Curated by Teaspoon Projects, the installation brings together two works by Kelly Wu - “Kate Moss in a qipao” and “Mangled Cath Kidson Bowling Bag” - and a consumed edition of Sonya Derviz’s Wyn wine.

Through their shared language of material, surface, and transformation, the works oscillate between private handling and public display. Derviz’s abstract mesh forms invite touch, rearrangement, and close looking, while Wu’s works draw on personal and cultural memory – referencing British iconography, celebrity, and the coded aesthetics of popular culture – to explore how racialised experiences are often mediated through surface, humour, and style. 

Together, the installation constructs an environment that mirrors the dynamics of the fair itself, staged inside Villa Carlotta, the laboratory of a former perfume factory.
